Leak Proof Magnetic Valves

Leaks from TRADITIONAL VALVES are one of industry's most critical problems.  Most leaks occur at the stem seal, with the bonnet seal, and/or ports being secondary sources.  Fugitive emissions from valves are a major source of pollution in the petrochemical industries.  Valve maintenance incurs significant costs and can cause process delays and downtime.  Safety is a big issue for steam, lethal service, nuclear, and semiconductor valves.

Previous generations of SEAL-LESS VALVES could not operate at high temperatures due to the use of internal magnets. They often had torque limitations and lacked effective methods to break free badly corroded valves. These constraints curtailed the practicality of sealed valves and this technology never went mainstream before.

Seal-less Magnetic Technology

Our solution completely eliminates emissions and leaks.  Magnets are only used externally around the valve enclosure and provides a magnetic flux path that completes a magnetic circuit through the inside of the valve.  The bonnet and ports can be hermetically sealed (welded or soldered shut).  There is no continuous stem leading from inside the valve to outside.  No internal valve maintenance is ever required.  Our asymmetric torque actuator never gets stuck and can be removed to provide "anti-tamper" security.  Operates at extreme temperatures.  Can convert all standard valve types and sizes.  6 US Patents and 11 International Patents granted with more pending.

Zero Leak Magnetic Valve

"CAP & GO" Retrofit

Designed to repair and upgrade a leaking valve--without having to shut down operations or close sections of the processing line.  The retrofit quickly installs over the top of the leaking valve and converts it to a ZERO LEAK magnetic valve that immediately eliminates all fugitive emissions while extending the life of the existing valve by another 5+ years.

Severe Service Valves

Severe service valves differ from those employed in more mundane applications due to the nature of the media that they handle (corrosive, toxic, suspended solids), temperature, pressure, cycling requirements, and cost / consequences of a potential failure.  Leaks and failures can put the plant, workers, and even communities at risk.  Typical severe service valves use specialized materials such as Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy, or Alloy 20 to ensure suitable service life and compatibility with the challenging media that they handle.  Our Severe Service Valves use the same specialized materials along with applying our patented Seal-less Magnetic Technology to completely eliminate emissions and leaks.

Cheater Handles

Customers in some applications like to employ cheater handles when valves are badly stuck.  Since our magnets are only located in the external portion of the actuator, a "Super Handle" can be made with larger, stronger magnets.  If all else fails, a cheater handle port can be utilized.

Position Indicator Valves

It may not be evident whether an enclosed valve is open, closed, or partially open - Especially when the valve is magnetically actuated.  Our non-contact position sensing system detects the valve position via magnets, without necessitating any penetrations through the valve casing.
